Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Adelphe, QC

Saint-Adelphe sits in Quebec's Mauricie region, in the rolling forested country between the Saint-Maurice and Batiscan river valleys. The village is a practical base for RV travellers heading into the southern Laurentian foothills, with Trois-Rivières roughly an hour south and Quebec City about ninety minutes east. The surrounding area mixes private RV parks with Sépaq-managed wilderness camping. Camping La Gervaisie, Camping Parc De La Peninsule, Camping Rouillard Inc and Camping Otamac Inc offer serviced sites suited to trailers and motorhomes, generally with electrical hookups and lake or river access. For a more remote experience, the Lac aux Sables sector of the Mastigouche Reserve gives access to one of Quebec's larger wildlife reserves, with rustic sites set among lakes and mixed forest. Roads in the immediate area are paved and easy to navigate with a rig. Inside the wildlife reserve, the road network is entirely gravel forest roads, so expect slower travel once off the main routes.

Sites inside the Mastigouche Reserve, including the Lac-aux-Sables sector, are reserved through Sépaq, either online at sepaq.com or by phone at 1-800-665-6527. Sépaq opens summer camping reservations at wildlife reserves the spring before the season, so popular weekends can fill quickly once the launch date passes. A virtual waiting room is used during the launch to manage demand. Private campgrounds such as Camping La Gervaisie, Camping Parc De La Peninsule, Camping Rouillard Inc and Camping Otamac Inc are booked directly with each operator by phone or website. For July long weekends and the Quebec construction holiday in late July and early August, reserve well in advance.
