Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-André-Avellin, QC

Saint-André-Avellin sits in the Petite-Nation region of the Outaouais, roughly an hour east of Gatineau-Ottawa and under two hours from Montreal. The village is a practical base for RV travellers exploring the Ottawa River corridor, with paved access from Route 148 and Route 321. Camping options range from a SEPAQ-operated provincial park on the river to family-run resorts with full hookups on both the Quebec and Ontario sides of the border. Plaisance Provincial Park anchors the area along the Ottawa River, offering sites without services as well as sites with water and electricity. La Marina de Montebello sits on the waterfront in nearby Montebello. Centre touristique du Lac-Simon, also run by SEPAQ, lies north in Duhamel and offers a large campground beside a long sandy lake beach. South across the Ontario border near Alfred, Evergreen Camping Resort and Cedar Shade Campground offer full-hookup family resorts with pools and seasonal activities. The mix suits travellers who want a provincial-park experience alongside more amenity-heavy resorts.

SEPAQ sites, including Plaisance Provincial Park and Centre touristique du Lac-Simon, are reserved through the SEPAQ online reservation system at sepaq.com, with the booking window opening roughly four months ahead. A daily park access fee applies in addition to the campsite charge, and access must be purchased in advance because daily visitor caps can apply. Dogs are only allowed on designated sites at SEPAQ establishments, so confirm pet policy before booking. Private campgrounds such as La Marina de Montebello, Evergreen Camping Resort, and Cedar Shade Campground book directly through their own websites or by phone. Cedar Shade requires a two-night minimum on weekends and a three-night minimum on long weekends. For peak summer weekends, reserve well in advance because waterfront and full-service sites fill first.
