Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Barnabé-Sud, QC

Saint-Barnabé-Sud is a small rural municipality in the Montérégie region of southern Quebec, set in the agricultural belt north of Saint-Hyacinthe and roughly an hour east of Montreal by Highway 20. The area sits on flat farmland crossed by the Yamaska River, making it a practical base for RV travellers exploring Montérégie's wineries, cider routes, and orchard country. There is no provincial Sépaq park inside the village itself, so most RV camping happens at privately operated campgrounds in surrounding towns such as Saint-Liboire, Sainte-Madeleine, Saint-Pie, and Saint-Roch-de-Richelieu. Camping Plage La Liberte in Saint-Liboire is a large family park with a beach and water slides. Camping Ste Madeleine sits within easy reach of Montreal and caters to seasonal and transient campers. Camping Aqua-Parc St-Pie pairs RV sites with an on-site water park. Camping Domaine Madalie offers wooded sites in a quieter setting. Camping Domaine Des Erables, a Parkbridge resort in Saint-Roch-de-Richelieu, runs over six hundred sites with pools and lake activities. Together they cover most rig sizes and travel styles.

Booking in this area is handled directly by each private campground, not through a provincial reservation portal like Sépaq. Most parks accept online reservations through their own websites, with phone booking available as a backup. Camping Plage La Liberte, Camping Ste Madeleine, Camping Aqua-Parc St-Pie, Camping Domaine Madalie, and Camping Domaine Des Erables are also listed through Camping Québec, the provincial campground association, which is useful for comparing amenities and trip lengths. For July long weekends, the construction holiday, and any summer Saturday, book six to ten weeks in advance, especially if a specific site length, full hookups, or a waterfront location matters. Deposits and cancellation windows vary by operator, so confirm the terms before paying.
