Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Barthélemy, QC

Saint-Barthélemy is a small farming village in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River between Montreal and Trois-Rivières. The community sits in fertile farmland that extends to the river, with the historic Chemin du Roy passing through the area. It lies roughly 90 km northeast of Montréal and about 180 km southwest of Québec City, making it a convenient stop on the Highway 40 corridor. RV travellers reach the village from Autoroute 40 at exit 155, then follow local roads toward the campgrounds. The closest property to the village is Camping du Vieux Moulin Inc, a large riverside park on rue Buteau. Other options within driving range include Camping Sainte-Emilie, Camping Belle Montagne1999, Camping Domaine Des Erables, and Camping Aux Bouleaux Argentes, which extend the search radius into the surrounding Lanaudière countryside. Most are privately operated seasonal grounds geared to families and weekly stays rather than provincial-park style wilderness camping.

Private campgrounds in the Saint-Barthélemy area are booked directly with each operator by phone, email, or through their own websites and third-party listing platforms. Camping du Vieux Moulin Inc, for instance, takes reservations through its rue Buteau office for both traveller and seasonal sites. Many properties run a large share of their inventory as seasonal sites, so the pool of nightly traveller spots is limited. Book early for July and August weekends. Quebec's provincial system is separate. Sépaq opened reservations for the summer 2026 camping and ready-to-camp season in its 23 national parks and tourist centres on November 8 and 9, 2025. Bookings can be made online at sepaq.com or by phone at 1-800-665-6527. A virtual waiting room is used at opening times to manage demand fairly during busy launches.
