Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-François-du-Lac, QC

Saint-François-du-Lac sits on the south shore of Lac Saint-Pierre in Quebec's Centre-du-Québec region, roughly midway between Montreal and Quebec City. The surrounding Lac Saint-Pierre Biosphere Reserve is a vast territory centred on a fluvial expansion of the St Lawrence River, with a lakeshore and archipelago that host distinctive wetland ecosystems recognised under the Ramsar Convention. RV travellers use the village as a quiet base for exploring the lake, the Nicolet River delta, and Trois-Rivières just across the Laviolette Bridge. The closest serviced option, Camping Port St Francois, is the largest in the area and sits along the St. Lawrence near Nicolet. It offers 287 sites, including 18 without services, 29 with two services, and 240 with three services. Other nearby choices include Camping au Soleil Levant, Camping du Vieux Moulin Inc, Camping Domaine Des Erables, and Camping Lac St-Michel. Most are privately operated, family-oriented seasonal parks that take RVs, tents, and ready-to-camp units.

Campgrounds around Saint-François-du-Lac are privately owned, and each park handles its own reservations. Most accept online bookings through their own websites or through the Camping Québec association portal, which lists Camping Port St Francois, Camping au Soleil Levant, Camping du Vieux Moulin Inc, Camping Domaine Des Erables, and Camping Lac St-Michel with current availability and amenities. Phone reservations in French and English are standard. For summer long weekends (Saint-Jean-Baptiste in late June, Canada Day, and the August construction holiday), book several months ahead, as the larger parks sell out their three-service sites first. Seasonal sites are common and reduce the transient inventory, so traveller pitches at the busier parks can be limited. A deposit is typically required at booking, and most parks ask for a valid licence plate and RV length.
