Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu, QC

Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu sits on the west bank of the Richelieu River in Quebec's Montérégie region, about 30 minutes east of Montreal in the La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM. The village faces Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu across the river and is reached via Route 223, with Highway 20 (exit at Beloeil) the usual approach for RV travelers. A small cable ferry links the two banks at the village from April to December. RV campers have several private campgrounds within a short drive. Camping Domaine Madalie sits across the river in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu and offers about 200 sites with a mix of unserviced, two-service, and three-service hookups. Camping Alouette | Parkbridge in Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil is a large resort-style park with roughly 370 sites, 30- and 50-amp service, pull-throughs, and big-rig access. Camping Ste Madeleine in Sainte-Madeleine and Le Domaine De Rouville Inc in Saint-Jean-Baptiste at the foot of Mont Saint-Hilaire round out the options, the latter being one of the largest private campgrounds in Quebec with more than 1,800 sites. Camping Auclair provides additional capacity in the river corridor.

All campgrounds in the Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu area are privately operated, so reservations go through each park directly rather than through a central provincial system like SEPAQ. Most accept bookings by phone, email, or an online form on the operator's site. Camping Alouette | Parkbridge takes reservations through the Parkbridge website, and Le Domaine De Rouville Inc books through its own site and toll-free line. For summer weekends and statutory holidays, reserve several months in advance. Seasonal sites are typically held by returning campers, so traveler (voyageur) sites are the relevant inventory for short stays and they make up a smaller share of the total. Confirm RV length limits, hookup amperage (30 vs 50), and pet rules at the time of booking. Check-in is usually early to mid-afternoon with a late-morning checkout, and most parks enforce a nighttime curfew.
