Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Simon, QC

Saint-Simon is a small village in the Montérégie region of southern Quebec, set in farmland between Saint-Hyacinthe and Drummondville and roughly an hour east of Montreal by Autoroute 20. The surrounding area offers a tight cluster of private, family-oriented campgrounds rather than provincial or national parks, which makes it a practical base for RV travelers heading between Montreal and Quebec City. The closest options sit in neighbouring municipalities. Camping Plage La Liberte in Saint-Liboire is a large 450-site property with a beach, playground, snack bar, dump station and 30- and 50-amp electrical service, and most of its sites carry three services. Camping Aqua-Parc St-Pie in Saint-Pie has 182 sites, an on-site water park, heated pool, snack bar and 30- and 50-amp hookups. Camping au Soleil Levant and Camping Oasis round out the nearby private options. Camping Ste Madeleine, on rue Saint-Simon in Sainte-Madeleine, has 281 sites, including 237 with three services, and a high share of shaded pitches.

Campgrounds near Saint-Simon are privately operated, so each property handles its own reservations rather than going through a central provincial system like Sépaq. Booking is done directly by phone or through each campground's website, and many properties are also listed on Camping Québec and Bonjour Québec, which link out to the operator. Peak-summer weekends, the Quebec construction holiday in late July and any long weekend tend to sell out, so reserving several weeks ahead is advisable for serviced pull-throughs and big-rig sites. When booking, confirm rig length, the amp service required (30 versus 50), whether sewer is at the site or only at a dump station, and the campground's pet policy. Some properties, including Camping Ste Madeleine and Camping Plage La Liberte, are noted as partly accessible for travellers with reduced mobility.
