Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint-Zénon, QC

Saint-Zénon sits in the Haute-Matawinie region of Lanaudière, roughly 145 km northeast of Montreal, along Route 131. The village serves as the southern access point to Réserve faunique Mastigouche, whose Bouteille Registration Centre is 26 km east of Saint-Zénon via Route 131. Managed by SÉPAQ, the reserve covers over 1,500 km² and boasts more than 400 lakes, with the Lac de la Bouteille and Lac Sainte Bernard sectors offering drive-in campsites for RVs and trailers. West of the village, Parc national du Mont-Tremblant stretches across the Laurentides and Lanaudière. It is Quebec's first national park, created in 1895, and its La Pimbina and La Diable sectors include the Baie des Maries and Lac Girondin campgrounds respectively. Camping Fort Apache, near Saint-Côme, rounds out the area with a private-campground option for travellers who prefer full hookups outside the SÉPAQ network. The mix of wildlife reserve, national park, and private grounds gives RV renters a wide range of site types within a one-hour drive of Saint-Zénon.

SÉPAQ runs both the national park and the wildlife reserve, with separate booking calendars. Reservations for the wildlife reserves typically open in late April of the previous year, while national park and tourist-establishment camping opens in early November. Bookings can be made online at sepaq.com or by calling the Customer Relations Centre at 1-800-665-6527. Customers must pay the entire cost of their stay at the time of the reservation. For RV access to the Mastigouche reserve, plan the approach carefully. For campers with a tent-trailer, trailer, or recreational vehicle headed for Saint-Bernard campground, SÉPAQ strongly recommends entering via the Pins-Rouges Registration Centre rather than Bouteille. Camping Fort Apache and other private campgrounds in Saint-Côme and Saint-Michel-des-Saints take direct reservations by phone or through their own websites.
