Campgrounds and RV parks near Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts - Val-David, QC

Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and Val-David sit in the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal, on the Highway 117 and P'tit Train du Nord corridor. The area works well as a base for RV travel because it combines lakefront private campgrounds close to town with a major provincial park, Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, managed by SÉPAQ, which covers about 1,510 square kilometres to the north. Closest to Sainte-Agathe, Camping Laurentien and Camping Du Domaine Lausanne offer serviced sites suited to families and weekend trips. Domaine Desjardins sits in the same Laurentian belt and caters to RV travellers looking for hookups and lake access. Further north, inside the national park, Camping De La Diable and Lac Chat - Mont Tremblant Provincial Park provide larger, more rustic SÉPAQ-run sites with proximity to hiking, paddling, and the Rivière du Diable. Lac Chat sits roughly 7 km from the park entrance and 3 km from Lac Monroe, with 85 serviced campsites that can accommodate tents through full-sized RVs.

Private campgrounds in the Sainte-Agathe and Val-David area, including Camping Laurentien, Camping Du Domaine Lausanne, and Domaine Desjardins, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. For summer weekends and holiday periods, book several months ahead. For Camping De La Diable and Lac Chat - Mont Tremblant Provincial Park, reservations go through SÉPAQ at sepaq.com or by phone. SÉPAQ opens summer camping reservations for its 23 national parks each November, in staggered time slots over two days. A virtual waiting room with randomly assigned priority is used at opening, then a first-come, first-served rule applies. Daily park-access passes can also be purchased online in advance and are recommended to avoid being turned away when the park reaches capacity.
