Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides is a small municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, north of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and roughly 90 minutes from Montreal. The area sits in rolling forested terrain dotted with lakes such as Lac Ménard, Lac Sarrazin, and Lac McShane, with Mont Kaaikop, one of the highest summits in the Laurentians at 838 metres, nearby. RV travellers use the village as a quiet base between the busier resort hubs of Sainte-Agathe and Mont-Tremblant. Private options closest to town include Camping Laurentien, Camping Du Domaine Lausanne, and Domaine Desjardins, which cater to trailers and motorhomes with seasonal and short-stay sites. For a wilder setting, Parc national du Mont-Tremblant lies to the north and offers serviced and rustic camping across multiple sectors. The park's main camping season typically runs from mid-May through late October, and the Lac Lajoie and Lac aux Rats sites are popular with travellers willing to drive farther in for lake access and quieter surroundings.

Sites inside Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, including Lac Lajoie and Lac aux Rats, are managed by Sépaq. Bookings for the summer season in national parks and tourist establishments open in early November of the previous year, with launch dates staggered across two days. Mont-Tremblant is typically released first on the opening morning, ahead of other parks later in the day. A virtual waiting room is used at launch, with a random priority order assigned to those who join just before the opening, then first-come first-served afterward. Reservations can be made online at sepaq.com or by phone at 1-800-665-6527, and park entry fees are charged separately from the camping fee. Private campgrounds such as Camping Laurentien, Camping Du Domaine Lausanne, and Domaine Desjardins take direct reservations through their own websites, by phone, or by email. Holiday weekends fill earliest, so confirm length-of-stay minimums when booking.
