Campgrounds and RV parks near Val-Maher, QC

Val-Maher is a small locality in the township of Shefford, in Quebec's La Haute-Yamaska region, sitting between the cities of Granby and Bromont in the Eastern Townships. Mont Shefford rises just southeast of the community, and the area falls within easy reach of the Yamaska River valley and Lake Boivin. For RV travellers, this puts a cluster of family-oriented campgrounds within a short drive, alongside Quebec's Parc national de la Yamaska in nearby Roxton Pond. Closest to Val-Maher are Camping Granby and the Bromont properties: Camping Parc Bromont, Camping Vacances Bromont, and Camping KOA Granby-Bromont. Camping Fairmount rounds out the nearby options. Most are private, full-service campgrounds geared to families, with pools, playgrounds, and large-rig sites. Granby itself sits about 75 kilometres east of Montreal, making Val-Maher a practical base for day trips to the Granby Zoo, Bromont mountain, and the Brome-Missisquoi wine route.

Sépaq runs the reservation system for Parc national de la Yamaska, the closest provincial-park campground. Sites are booked online through sepaq.com, and a daily park access fee applies on top of the camping fee. Sépaq opens its national-park camping reservations for the following summer in a single launch each November, and prime summer weekends sell out quickly once the launch goes live. A daily access right or annual park pass must be purchased before arrival. The private campgrounds near Val-Maher, including Camping Granby, Camping Parc Bromont, Camping Vacances Bromont, Camping KOA Granby-Bromont, and Camping Fairmount, each handle their own bookings through their websites or by phone. Many enforce two- or three-night minimums on summer weekends. Confirm site length and hookup type before booking if travelling in a larger rig.
