Campgrounds and RV parks near Milestone, SK

Milestone is a small prairie town in southeast Saskatchewan on Highway 39, roughly a 45-minute drive south of Regina. The surrounding landscape is flat farmland cut by coulees and small lakes, and most RV camping in the area is clustered along highway corridors or at regional parks within an hour or two of town. Close-in options include Dyer Straits Campground and Cabins and Comfort Plus Campground, both located near White City just east of Regina and useful as stopovers for travellers on the Trans-Canada corridor. For a fuller lake-based stay, Nickle Lake Regional Park sits east near Weyburn along Highway 39 and offers serviced sites, a beach, and fishing. Lumsden Riverpark Campground, north of Regina in the Qu'Appelle Valley, is a common weekend base for families, and Bengough Regional Park to the southwest gives access to the Big Muddy Badlands. Expect prairie conditions: open sky, wind, long summer daylight, and short shoulder seasons. Most private and regional-park campgrounds in the area operate from spring through early fall.

Saskatchewan regional parks operate independently, so reservations for Nickle Lake Regional Park and Bengough Regional Park are handled through each park's own office rather than a single provincial system. Bengough Regional Park accepts bookings by phone, email, and through letscamp.ca, while Nickle Lake takes reservations directly through its park office. Sites open for booking in late winter or early spring, and popular waterfront and serviced sites at Nickle Lake typically go first. Private campgrounds Dyer Straits Campground and Cabins and Comfort Plus Campground take direct reservations. Lumsden Riverpark Campground is run by the Town of Lumsden and operates by reservation only through the campground office or email. For long weekends and July and August stays, reserve four to eight weeks ahead. Confirm rig length limits, service hookups, and check-in windows when booking.
