Campgrounds near Goshen, Arkansas
Goshen sits just east of Fayetteville in the Ozark foothills of northwest Arkansas, putting RV travellers within a short drive of Beaver Lake, the Ozark National Forest, and the trail networks around Fayetteville and Bentonville. The area blends private RV resorts, Corps of Engineers lakeside campgrounds, and Arkansas State Park sites, so most rigs and travel styles are covered.
Close-in private options include NWA Hideaway and Southgate RV Park of Fayetteville for quick access to town, plus Monte Ne RV Park on the west side of Beaver Lake. Hog Valley RV and Treehouse Resort and The Creeks Golf and RV Resort sit a bit further out and lean toward destination stays with on-site amenities.
For public-land camping, Beaver Lake is the anchor: the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates a cluster of lakefront campgrounds bookable through Recreation.gov, and Devil's Den State Park south of Fayetteville handles reservations through the Arkansas State Parks system.
Things to do near Goshen
Water is the main draw. Beaver Lake stretches along the White River in the Ozarks and holds largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, white bass, stripers, and catfish, while the cold tailwater below the dam is stocked with trout. Boat ramps, swim beaches, and marinas ring the shoreline.
On land, Devil's Den State Park in the Boston Mountains has hiking, backpacking, and mountain-bike trails leading into the surrounding Ozark National Forest, plus creek pools and CCC-era stonework including the rock dam on Lee Creek. Closer to home, Fayetteville and Bentonville offer paved greenway riding, the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, and Razorback game-day trips for families basing out of Goshen.

Spring and fall are the sweet spots. April through May brings green-up, wildflowers, and comfortable daytime temperatures, but it is also the wettest stretch of the year, with May averaging around six inches of rain and frequent afternoon thunderstorms. Trails and low-water crossings in the Ozarks can flood quickly after heavy rain.
Summers are hot and humid, with July highs near 89°F and consistent daytime heat through August. Lakeside sites at Beaver Lake fill on holiday weekends and much of June and July, so booking several weeks ahead is normal. Most private parks near Goshen stay open year-round.
Fall cools off through September and October, delivering the reliable dry, clear weather that draws leaf-peepers to the Ozarks. Winters are cool rather than harsh: January highs in the mid 40s, occasional light snow, and some seasonal amenities such as swim beaches and the Ridge Runner Cafe at Devil's Den running on reduced hours or closed.

Scott was great to work with and adjusted our last minute add on date. Very communicative and would recommend booking with him again. RV was great, well maintained, clean and perfect for our family too getaway for vacation. Would definitely book him again in the future!

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend with our family and had the BEST experience! We rented an RV for 3 adults and 3 kids, and it was the perfect size with plenty of room for everyone. Everything was super clean and fully stocked — pillows, bedding, and honestly anything you could possibly need was included. But our absolute favorite part was the outdoor kitchen. I genuinely don’t think we can ever rent an RV again without one now! The griddle was AMAZING and made cooking so easy and fun. We’ve officially become bougie RV campers now. 😂 Could not have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

How to book a campsite
Beaver Lake's Corps of Engineers campgrounds, including Dam Site Lake and Rocky Branch, are reserved through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Check-in is 4:00 p.m. and check-out is 1:00 p.m. across Beaver Lake sites to give staff time to turn over campsites.
Devil's Den and other Arkansas State Parks book through the state park reservation portal, with sites available up to 12 months in advance and a two-night minimum on weekends. A non-refundable deposit equal to the first night is collected at booking.
Private parks such as NWA Hideaway, Southgate RV Park of Fayetteville, Monte Ne RV Park, Hog Valley RV and Treehouse Resort, and The Creeks Golf and RV Resort take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone, which is the fastest way to confirm big-rig-friendly sites and full hookups.
What to expect on the ground
Terrain around Goshen is rolling Ozark country: wooded ridges, limestone bluffs, and creek valleys. Roads into Beaver Lake campgrounds and Devil's Den are paved but include tight turns and grades, so drivers of longer motorhomes and fifth wheels should check site length limits before booking.
Cell service is generally solid around Fayetteville and Springdale and thinner in the state park and along the more remote arms of Beaver Lake. Grocery, fuel, propane, and RV parts are easy to find in Fayetteville and Springdale, both within a short drive.
Expect humid summer nights, active insects near the water, and the possibility of severe thunderstorms in spring. Pack rain gear, a NOAA weather radio, and layers for cool mornings even in shoulder season.
