Camping near Vilonia, Arkansas
Vilonia sits in Faulkner County between Conway and Little Rock, at roughly 312 feet of elevation in central Arkansas. The location puts renters within easy reach of both urban services and Ozark foothills recreation. The region has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild, short winters, so the RV season effectively runs year round.
Campground options close to town lean toward private RV parks with full hookups, including Ohana Celebration Park, Titan RV Park, and Hilltop RV Resort. Ohana Celebration Park is a family-oriented destination built around a 22-acre lake with sandy beach, swimming, fishing, boat rentals, an aqua park, cabins, yurts, a playground, group firepit areas, and ATV and multi-use trails. Titan RV Park is set up for larger rigs, offering pull-through sites and 20/30/50 amp service.
For a state-park experience, Woolly Hollow near Greenbrier is the nearest option, roughly a half-hour drive north of Vilonia.
Things to do near Vilonia
Water recreation is the central draw. Ohana Celebration Park offers on-site swimming, fishing, boat rentals, an aqua park, and multi-use trails, which makes it a strong pick for families traveling with kids. Nearby Lake Bennett at Woolly Hollow State Park is a 40-acre no-wake lake, so it works well for kayaking, canoeing, pedal boating, and fishing, with a seasonal lifeguarded swimming beach in the warmer months.
On land, hiking and mountain biking are easy to find. Woolly Hollow has three hiking trails and the 9.4-mile Enders Fault mountain bike route. Day trips to downtown Little Rock, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and the shops and restaurants in Conway are all within about a 30-minute drive.

Spring and fall are the most comfortable stretches for RV travel in central Arkansas. From March through May, days warm into the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit and foliage greens up, but this is also the wettest stretch of the year and the peak season for severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes. Renters should watch forecasts and pick campgrounds with paved pads if visiting in spring.
Summers are hot and humid. Highs run into the low 90s Fahrenheit from June through August, and heat indices frequently exceed 100. Lake sites and shaded campgrounds are worth prioritizing. Late summer into early fall is typically the driest stretch, with September posting the lowest average rainfall.
Fall brings cooler nights, lower humidity, and vibrant foliage in October, along with a secondary severe weather season in late fall. Winters are mild with rare snow, and most private parks in the area stay open year round.

How to book campgrounds near Vilonia
Private parks around Vilonia, including Ohana Celebration Park, Titan RV Park, and Hilltop RV Resort, typically take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Availability tightens on holiday weekends and around major events in Little Rock and Conway, so booking several weeks ahead is a good rule of thumb.
Arkansas State Parks, including Woolly Hollow, use a central online reservation system at reserve.arkansasstateparks.com. Campsites can be booked up to one year in advance, and a credit or debit card is required at the time of reservation. Weekend stays require a two-night minimum, and three-night minimums apply on major holiday weekends. Campsites are limited to fourteen rental nights within a thirty-day period. Solar-eclipse and festival weekends historically sell out well in advance.
What to expect on the ground
Terrain around Vilonia is gently rolling, with mixed pine and hardwood forest and small lakes. Most nearby private parks offer level, paved or gravel pads with full hookups and 30/50 amp service. Titan RV Park accepts long rigs, and Woolly Hollow's Class AAA sites can accommodate RVs up to 60 feet on paved, level pads with water, sewer, and 50-amp electric service.
Cell coverage in town is generally strong, but signal thins in the wooded valleys north toward the Ozarks. Grocery, fuel, laundry, and RV supply stops are easy to find along US-64 and in Conway. Central Arkansas is tornado-prone, so renters should identify the closest sturdy shelter on arrival and monitor NWS Little Rock alerts during severe weather watches.

help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take a Vilonia RV rental on a road trip to other states?

Just message the host before booking to confirm your itinerary, since some prefer to know your route in advance. Note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals due to insurance limitations, but trips into Canada may be allowed with host approval. Pro tip: a loop through the Ozarks via Eureka Springs and Branson is hard to beat.
fhwa.dot.gov/What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how much will gas cost?
Budgeting fuel for your Vilonia RV trip is straightforward. Class C motorhomes typically get 8-12 MPG, Class A's around 6-10 MPG, campervans 14-20 MPG, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10-14 MPG). Arkansas consistently has some of the lowest gas prices in the country, often 20-40 cents below the national average, so fill-ups in Vilonia, Conway, or Cabot are kind to your wallet. Plan roughly $0.30-$0.50 per mile in fuel for a typical Class C. Pro tip: top up at the Love's or Pilot near the I-40 Conway exit before heading north toward Greers Ferry, since stations get sparser once you hit the lake roads.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Vilonia?
For the most popular weekends, book your campground 2 to 4 months ahead, especially around Memorial Day, July 4th, and October leaf-peeping weekends. Arkansas State Parks (including Woolly Hollow and Petit Jean) use the official reservation system at ArkansasStateParks.com and open bookings 13 months in advance. Private parks like Ohana Celebration Park and Titan RV Park take reservations directly through their websites or by phone. For weekday or off-season stays, you can often find sites just a week or two out. Pro tip: if a state park is fully booked, check daily around 6 PM. Cancellations open up regularly and you can grab them in real time.
arkansasstateparks.com/reservationsWhat are local driving conditions like around Vilonia?
Driving an RV around Vilonia is genuinely beginner-friendly. The town sits along US-64 with easy access to I-40 just 10 miles south, both wide, four-lane corridors with gentle grades. Local roads through Faulkner County roll through pine forest and farmland with minimal traffic. Watch for occasional deer at dawn and dusk, springtime thunderstorms (April-May can bring strong winds, so check the forecast before driving), and the occasional low-clearance bridge on rural back roads, most RVs at 11-12 feet are fine on signed routes. Avoid driving narrow county roads north of Vilonia in heavy rain. Pro tip: use US-65 or AR-25 (not back roads) for the scenic route to Greers Ferry Lake.

If you're boondocking or staying somewhere without a sewer hookup, you can dump and fill water at Titan RV Park or at the Flying J off I-40 in North Little Rock. Many hosts include extras like a generator, outdoor awning, smart TV, Wi-Fi hotspot, and a fully stocked kitchen package. Campervans are perfect for couples, Class C motorhomes are the sweet spot for families, and fifth wheels offer the most living space for longer family RV trips in Vilonia. Pro tip: read the listing's amenities section carefully and message the host about any must-have items before you book.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Vilonia%2C%20ArkansasWhat add-ons and pickup options should I know about?
Hosts offering campervan rental in Vilonia and larger motorhomes typically provide a menu of helpful add-ons: delivery and setup (often $2-$4 per mile from base), generator usage packages, kitchen and linen kits, camping chairs, bike racks, and propane fills. Pickup is usually at the host's location in or near Vilonia, with most pickups between 1-4 PM and drop-offs by 11 AM. Mileage policies vary, so check whether your listing includes 100 free miles per day, 150, or unlimited. Pro tip: bundle delivery plus a linen and kitchen kit on your first trip, you'll arrive at the campground to a fully made-up RV and skip the packing stress entirely.
arkansas.com/things-to-do/outdoors/campingHow do payment and the security deposit work?
Payment is simple and secure: when you book your RV rental in Arkansas through RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host. A refundable security deposit is held separately from the booking payment (typically $500-$1,500 depending on the RV's value) and released after the trip once the RV is returned in the same condition, with a full fuel tank and empty waste tanks. To avoid any deposit issues, take time-stamped photos at pickup and drop-off, follow the host's mileage and pet policies, and dump tanks before return. Pro tip: keep your fuel and dump-station receipts, they're the easiest way to document a smooth, deposit-back return.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksCan I rent an RV in Vilonia during winter, and is it warm enough?
Yes, winter RV rental in Vilonia is absolutely doable and a hidden gem for budget travelers. Central Arkansas winters are mild, with January highs around 50°F and lows near 30°F, occasional freezes but rarely deep snow. Look for RVs listed as four-season or winterized: features like heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and a strong furnace make cold nights comfortable. Plug into 30/50-amp shore power at Ohana Celebration Park or Titan RV Park to keep the heat running without draining the battery. Pro tip: a December trip to Greers Ferry Lake or Petit Jean State Park is peaceful, uncrowded, and often 30-40% cheaper than peak season, an underrated way to enjoy Arkansas.
