Campgrounds and RV parks near West Crossett, AR

West Crossett sits in Ashley County in southeast Arkansas, close to the Louisiana state line and surrounded by pine forest, bayous, and the Ouachita River drainage. The area serves RV travelers as a low-key base for fishing, paddling, and hunting trips in the piney woods of south Arkansas and north Louisiana. Most campgrounds within an easy drive fall into two categories: state park campgrounds with paved pads and full hookups, and small private RV parks along the Highway 82 and Highway 165 corridors. The closest full-service state park option is Moro Bay State Park, at the confluence of Raymond Lake and the Ouachita River in Bradley County, with 23 Class AAA campsites offering water, 50-amp electric, and sewer hookups on 60-foot pads that accommodate larger RVs and trailers. Across the state line, Chemin-A-Haut State Park sits on a 503-acre bluff overlooking Bayou Bartholomew and offers full hook-up RV camping, cabins, a seasonal swimming pool, and kayaking. Smaller private options such as The Oaks on Bussey, Bayou Boeuf RV Park, and The Fishing Camp Tackle & RV Park round out the choices for travelers who prefer shorter drives or longer-stay setups.
