The lake offers 8 campgrounds with a range of amenities and settings, from developed facilities to primitive backcountry sites. Most sites are reservable, though some are held for walk-in campers. Campground reservations typically open several months in advance, and peak-season visits should be booked as early as possible. Private parks handle their own reservations. Cedar Creek RV Park and Outdoor Center, Euharlee Creek Campground at Frankie Harris Park, The Rock RV Park, and Highland Park Off-Road Resort each take bookings directly through their own websites or booking platforms. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days, or 14 non-consecutive days in any 30-day period, at all Corps of Engineers operated campgrounds on the Allatoona Lake Project.
