Campgrounds near Lincoln Park, Georgia
Lincoln Park is an unincorporated community in Upson County in west-central Georgia, sitting in rolling Piedmont countryside between Thomaston and the Flint River. The area sits roughly an hour south of Atlanta and about 45 minutes west of Macon, making it a practical base for RV travelers exploring middle Georgia along the I-75 corridor and the Towaliga River watershed.
Camping options near Lincoln Park range from small private parks to a well-established Georgia state park. Happy Trails Homestead and L and D RV Park serve RVers looking for straightforward hookup stays, while High Falls RV Park and Tiny Home Community and Forsyth KOA Journey add more amenities and sit close to I-75 for longer touring routes.
The standout public option in the region is High Falls State Park, home to the River campground on the Towaliga River. The park is a popular camping destination and a common side trip for travelers on I-75, with waterfalls, a lake, hiking trails and family amenities that anchor a Lincoln Park-area RV trip.
Things to do near Lincoln Park
High Falls State Park is the main outdoor draw. The park is named for the tumbling cascades on the Towaliga River, and visitors can hike along the river's edge and through hilly forest to the remains of an old hydroelectric power plant foundation. In total, about 4.5 miles of trails run through the park, connecting forest paths to historic industrial sites that date back to when the area was a prosperous 19th-century mill town.
The park's lake is known as one of Georgia's top fishing spots for hybrid and white bass, with boat rentals, ramps and fishing docks providing water access. Paddling, boating and swimming in the seasonal outdoor pool round out warm-weather activities, and a miniature golf course adds a family option.
Off-park, the rolling Upson County countryside offers quiet backroad driving, small-town stops in Thomaston, and easy day trips north toward Atlanta or east toward Macon.

Winter is short and cool rather than harsh. January is the coldest month, with average highs in the mid to upper 50s and lows in the upper 30s, and December is typically the wettest month of the year. Wonderful time me and my family had camping while at an event. Kristopher did all the hard work and had the camper ready for us when we arrived. He went over everything very well about the camper and generator. Camper was fully stocked as well which is as nice. Thanks again Kristopher!

How to book campgrounds near Lincoln Park
For High Falls State Park, reservations go through the Georgia State Parks system online or by phone, and bookings can be made up to 13 months in advance. Sites fill quickly for summer weekends and holidays, so campers planning weekend arrivals should book early. Any sites not reserved are released on a first-come, first-served basis. A daily or annual ParkPass is required for vehicles entering the park, in addition to the site reservation.
Private campgrounds in the area, including Happy Trails Homestead, High Falls RV Park and Tiny Home Community, Forsyth KOA Journey and L and D RV Park, are booked directly with each property, typically through their websites or by phone. Cancellation windows and deposit rules vary by park, so confirm policies at the time of booking.
What to expect
Expect a mix of wooded state-park sites and smaller private RV parks rather than large resort-style campgrounds. At High Falls State Park, the check-in office is at a separate location from the campground itself, so arriving RVers should stop at the office first. Standard sites offer water and electric hookups with 30 and 50 amp service, and six lakeside yurts are available for renters who want a non-RV option in the group. A dump station and small camp store are on site.
Cell coverage is generally serviceable along the I-75 corridor but can be patchy in wooded sections of the state park. Groceries, fuel and basic supplies are easiest to pick up in Forsyth, Jackson or Thomaston before setting up. Biting insects are active from late spring through early fall.
