Campgrounds and RV parks near Twin City, GA

Twin City sits in Emanuel County in Georgia's southeast coastal plain, roughly midway between Macon and Savannah on U.S. 80. The area is flat, pine-and-cypress country crossed by blackwater creeks, and it functions as a practical RV base for travelers heading to or from the coast on I-16. The closest developed campground is George L. Smith State Park, located four miles southeast of Twin City off Georgia Highway 23. The small 25-site campground has electric and water sites with a fire ring, lantern hook, and picnic table, plus eight cottages and four primitive campsites, though sewer is not provided at the sites. About an hour east, near Millen, Magnolia Springs State Park is a 1,070-acre Georgia state park located between Perkins and Millen in Jenkins County and offers a second state-park option with a lake and spring. Private RV parks in the surrounding region include Beaver Run RV Park and Campground, Parkwood RV Park and Cottages, and Ponderosa RV Park Inc., which give hookup-focused alternatives when state park sites are full.

Georgia state park sites at George L. Smith and Magnolia Springs are booked through the state's ReserveAmerica-powered system.
