Campgrounds and RV parks near Firth, ID

Firth is a small farming town on the Snake River in Bingham County, positioned between Idaho Falls to the north and Blackfoot to the south along Interstate 15. Its location on the eastern Snake River Plain makes it a practical staging point for RV trips into the greater Yellowstone and Grand Teton region, with the West Yellowstone gate roughly a two-hour drive north. Most RV infrastructure is clustered in the neighboring Idaho Falls and Blackfoot corridor rather than in Firth itself. Full-hookup options within a short drive include Idaho Falls Luxury RV Park, Sunnyside Acres Park and Campground, and Snake River RV Park And Campground. South toward Pocatello, Pocatello KOA Journey offers a full-service stop off I-15. North of Idaho Falls in Rigby, Yellowstone Lakeside RV Park and Campground sits about 90 minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone and works well as a basecamp for park trips. The surrounding public land is managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Caribou-Targhee National Forest, and Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, giving travelers a mix of developed private parks and dispersed public-land camping within an hour or two.

Private RV parks near Firth generally take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Idaho Falls Luxury RV Park, Snake River RV Park And Campground, Sunnyside Acres Park and Campground, Pocatello KOA Journey, and Yellowstone Lakeside RV Park and Campground each handle their own bookings, and summer weekends often sell out several weeks ahead. For public land, Idaho state park campgrounds book through the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation reservation system on a rolling window that opens up to nine months ahead of arrival. U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management sites in Caribou-Targhee National Forest and along the Snake River are booked through Recreation.gov on a six-month rolling window. Yellowstone and Grand Teton campgrounds fill fastest and should be booked as soon as their windows open.
