Campgrounds and RV parks near Lena, IL

Water activities center on Lake Le-Aqua-Na, which supports fishing, boating, and swimming when lake conditions allow. The park has 8.5 miles of marked multi-use trails used for hiking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing in winter. Wooded tracts give the area a shaded, wildlife-rich setting, with deer sightings common along the trails. Apple River Canyon State Park adds shallow river wading, spring trout fishing, and short bluff-top hikes that wind down into the canyon. The Apple River is stocked with trout in spring, while smallmouth bass, crappie, and other species are available at other times of year. Off-site, Galena is about 35 miles west and offers historic downtown streets, wineries, and craft beverage producers. Nearby Lena, Cedarville, Freeport, and Monroe, Wisconsin add shopping and dining stops within an easy drive.
