Spring brings the region's heaviest rainfall, with April and May typically the wettest months. Rivers and creeks can run high, and lakeside inventory can be affected by flooding: Kentucky State Parks has at times closed reservations at Nolin Lake State Park because of substantial flooding. Wildflowers, dogwoods, and redbuds peak from mid-April through May.
Summer runs warm and humid, with July highs commonly in the mid-80s Fahrenheit. This is peak booking season: weekends at lakeside Corps of Engineers campgrounds and state park sites fill quickly, and Kentucky State Parks require a two-night minimum on peak-season weekends. Fall delivers milder days, lower humidity, and hardwood color from mid-October into early November, and remains a strong window for RV travel.
Winter is cold and damp with occasional snow. Kentucky State Parks list Nolin Lake as open year-round but cannot guarantee water availability during freezing weather, so travelers should confirm hookups directly with the park before arriving.

FANTASTIC RV! Runs really strong as we traveled through the hills of Kentucky! Very, very nice RV and comfortable! The pop-out is just right and easy to set-up! Marisol is a great communicator and host! We had some issues with our flight getting in late and she totally accommodated us for the meet-up as well as the drop-off! Highly recommend she and her AWESOME RV, Thor (ya, it's the model name, but fits this tough little RV)!

Justin made the trip super smooth for our family. He was very responsive and timely. Delivered the camper right to our campsite and set the whole thing up for us. He gave a walkthrough of everything and made us feel comfortable for our trip. The camper was stocked with so many things that came in handy. From fire starters, to spices, utensils, towels, and linens, it was awesome. Highly highly recommend Justin and his camper!
