Campgrounds and RV parks near Falmouth, KY

Water recreation anchors most trips. Kincaid Lake State Park has a marina with rental boats, a Junior Olympic swimming pool, a nine-hole golf course, mini-golf, tennis and basketball courts, and connected hiking trails through roughly 850 acres of woodland. Fishing on the lake targets largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, and crappie, with a 10-horsepower motor limit that keeps the water calm for paddlers. AJ Jolly Park adds roughly 20 miles of horse trails and an environmental education center with walking trails through field, forest, and wetland habitat. Day trips include the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum near Williamstown, Big Bone Lick State Historic Site with its bison herd, and downtown Cincinnati for city attractions.

The prime RV window runs from spring through mid-fall. Kentucky State Parks note that water service at campgrounds cannot be guaranteed during months when freezing temperatures are possible, so shoulder-season travelers should call the park directly to confirm hookups. The Kincaid Lake State Park campground itself typically opens in April and closes in mid-November, while the marina operates from mid-March through the end of October, which frames the practical boating window. Summer weekends and holiday periods see the heaviest demand and longer minimum stays. Kentucky State Parks require a two-night minimum on peak-season weekends at most campgrounds and often longer stays over major holidays. AJ Jolly Park has historically required two nights on Friday and Saturday and three nights on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. Campbell County has confirmed the AJ Jolly campground is closed for the current season, with shelter reservations still handled by phone through the county parks office. Winter camping is available at year-round private parks such as Camper Village RV Park, but expect limited amenities, potential water shutoffs, and cold, damp conditions typical of the Ohio Valley.

Kincaid Lake State Park offers 84 sites with electric and water hookups plus 75 primitive tent sites in an open-woodland setting, along with a central bathhouse, laundry, dump station, camp store, and playground. Sites are set on rolling terrain, and campers commonly report needing leveling blocks. Cell service is limited, which suits families looking to unplug but is worth planning for. AJ Jolly Park sites include water and 20/30-amp electric with no sewer hookups, and sites 47-53 plus The Point offer 50-amp service. Sites 20-46 are best suited to pop-ups and smaller trailers due to a tight turning radius. Camper Village RV Park sits on Boltz Lake with full-hookup 30 and 50-amp sites, cabins, a boat ramp, and a dump station. Northern Kentucky RV Park has full-hookup sites near I-75, so plan for some interstate noise.
