Was a quick 3 day weekend. It couldn’t have been easier. Mark was very accessible and helpful. Would definitely recommend renting from him.

Thomas P. - Apr 2025

Mark was easy to work with, and Ruby was a great way for us to put our toes in the RV world.

We loved this pop-up trailer! Found this trailer through a search. I don’t think we could have found a better person to rent from for our first RVezy trip. Stephen was very helpful and speedy in his communication. Everything worked great. AC was a beast and handled Texas heat no problem. The heater worked great for the cold nights in Louisville. Stephen helped us get on our way with a bag of tools and practically everything we needed. We towed this thing with our 2015 Honda Odyssey. I would absolutely recommend renting this trailer from Stephen.

Travis S. - Jun 2024

The Adkins Family pop-up was just what we needed to get outta town and unplug. Stephen did a great job showing us how to set it up and take it down. The pop-up was stocked with cooking supplies and full on propane when we picked it up. It travelled well on the road and was a perfect for for a family of 4. Stephen was a great host and communicated quickly before and throughout the trip. We would definitely consider renting again.

Frequently asked questions about campgrounds near Choctaw Lake, OH

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Choctaw Lake, OH?

RV rental in Choctaw Lake is one of the most affordable ways to explore central Ohio. On RVezy, you can expect roughly $90 to $150 per night for a travel trailer, $125 to $200 for a Class C motorhome, and $200 to $350 for a larger Class A. Because Choctaw Lake sits in rural Madison County between Columbus and Springfield, prices tend to run lower than big-city pickups. To find a cheap RV rental in Choctaw Lake, book midweek, travel in the shoulder months of late April or September, and use the price filter to sort by budget. Many local hosts also offer weekly discounts, so a Monday to Sunday Deer Creek trip can stretch your budget.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Choctaw Lake, Ohio?

A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Choctaw Lake. Ohio does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for recreational vehicles used for personal travel, regardless of whether you choose a Class A, Class B campervan, or Class C motorhome. You'll just need to be 25 or older and upload your license through RVezy's secure ID verification when you book. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home-country license and you're set. What protection is included with my RVezy rental near Choctaw Lake?

You are covered from the moment you book. Every RV rental on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can head out toward Deer Creek or Hocking Hills with real peace of mind. During checkout, you choose the protection level that fits your trip, and the plan helps cover most physical damage to the RV. This is not traditional auto insurance, it is built specifically for peer-to-peer RV rentals and removes the guesswork of whether your personal policy applies. Hosts do not set your coverage, you do, so you stay in control. Pro tip: pick your protection level once you have confirmed your route, since longer Ohio road trips often justify the higher tier.

What if I need to cancel my Choctaw Lake RV rental?

Booking is low-risk. RVezy, not individual hosts, sets the cancellation policy, and there is a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. Beyond the grace window, refunds depend on how far out from your trip you cancel. Central Ohio occasionally sees spring storms or tornado watches, and RVezy support can help if conditions impact your trip. The full current policy is available on the RVezy Help Center, but the key takeaway is simple: you have flexibility, and you are never alone in figuring it out. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best RVs around Choctaw Lake, the grace period gives you breathing room.
