Campgrounds and RV parks near Langdon Place, KY

Langdon Place is a small home rule city in northeastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, tucked into the east end of Louisville near the corner of Westport Road and Goose Creek Road. Downtown Louisville sits about 11 miles to the west, and the Lewis and Clark Bridge on I-265 carries traffic across the Ohio River to campgrounds on the southern Indiana side. That mix of urban attractions and river-valley parkland shapes the RV camping options within a short drive. Most overnight infrastructure sits along the I-65 and I-265 corridors. Louisville North Campground in Clarksville, Indiana works as a full-hookup base within minutes of downtown, while Silver Lakes Motorhome Complex and RV Park, Add-more RV Park, and Brooks RV Park and Campground add options south and east of the city for travelers who want quieter surroundings. For a more traditional state-park experience, Charlestown State Park lies northeast on the Indiana side of the Ohio River, offering paved sites, hiking trails, and river access on more than 5,100 acres.

Charlestown State Park is booked through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources reservation system on ReserveAmerica. Campsites can be reserved up to six months ahead. Camping check-in is 2 p.m., except Sundays and designated holidays when check-in shifts to 5 p.m. A per-vehicle daily entrance fee applies at Indiana state parks, with a higher rate for out-of-state plates. Private parks in the area, including Louisville North Campground, Silver Lakes Motorhome Complex and RV Park, Add-more RV Park, and Brooks RV Park and Campground, take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Derby weekend and other major Louisville events sell out months in advance, so lock in dates as soon as travel plans firm up.
