Campgrounds and RV parks near Lewisburg, KY

Lewisburg sits in Logan County in south-central Kentucky, roughly 20 miles west of Bowling Green and about 22 miles north of the Tennessee state line. The area mixes rolling farmland with lakes and forested ridges in the Western Kentucky Coalfield, giving RV travelers a compact base for fishing, boating, and short scenic drives. Camping options within an easy drive include 2Goods WildFoot RV Park and Gregory Lake RV Park for private full-hookup stays, Western Kentucky RV Park closer to the interstate corridor, and Spring Creek Camp Ground for a smaller, quieter setup. Lake Malone State Park Campground, north of Lewisburg near Dunmor, is the region's main state-run option and the anchor of the local outdoor scene. Most sites in the area are geared toward standard travel trailers and Class C rigs, with a mix of electric-only and full-hookup pads. Cellular coverage is generally reliable along the US-431 and I-65 corridors and weaker in the wooded pockets around Lake Malone.

Lake Malone State Park Campground is reserved through the Kentucky State Parks ReserveAmerica portal. Reservations must be made one day ahead of arrival and can be made up to 12 months in advance. There is a one-night minimum stay during the week at all parks, and a two-night minimum stay on peak season weekends at all parks with the exception of the Kentucky Horse Park. Private parks such as 2Goods WildFoot RV Park, Gregory Lake RV Park, Western Kentucky RV Park, and Spring Creek Camp Ground typically take direct phone or website bookings. Holiday weekends fill first, so target those dates several months out. One rule to note before packing: Kentucky State Parks prohibits the importation of firewood by campers from any state outside of Kentucky in an effort to help prevent the introduction of the Emerald Ash Borer, and firewood is available for sale in the state park campgrounds.
