Campgrounds and RV parks near Kittery Point, ME

Kittery Point sits at the southern tip of Maine, across the Piscataqua River from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and within a short drive of York's sand beaches and the Kittery Outlets on Route 1. The area serves as a practical base for RV travelers exploring the southern Maine coast, the New Hampshire Seacoast, and greater Portsmouth. There is no drive-in state park campground directly in Kittery. RV travelers rely on private parks strung along Route 1 in Kittery, York, and Cape Neddick, with additional options a short drive south into New Hampshire. Libby's Oceanside Camp, Flaggs RV Resort, Dixons Coastal Maine Campground, Sea Coast Camping and RV Resort, and Pinederosa Camping Area cover the range of coastal and wooded settings within roughly a half-hour of Kittery Point. Site styles vary from oceanfront rows with tidal views to interior loops shaded by pines. Most parks provide water, electric, and sewer hookups, with dump stations, showers, and laundry on site.

Private campgrounds in the Kittery, York, and Cape Neddick corridor take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. There is no single portal for the coastal Maine private parks, so booking each property is a separate transaction. Waterfront and full-hookup sites at Libby's Oceanside Camp, Flaggs RV Resort, Sea Coast Camping and RV Resort, Dixons Coastal Maine Campground, and Pinederosa Camping Area often sell out months ahead for summer weekends. Libby's opens online reservations on April 1 each year, and reservations are accepted only for weekly Sunday-to-Sunday increments during peak season. Minimum stays of two to three nights are common in July and August at other parks, and holiday weekends may require longer stays. Deposits are typically required at the time of booking, and cancellation windows vary by park. For nearby public options in New Hampshire, Hampton Beach State RV Park books through the New Hampshire State Parks reservation system.
