For Great Lakes camping, Sleeper State Park near Caseville provides modern sites with electric hookups and access to a half-mile sandy beach on Saginaw Bay via a pedestrian overpass across M-25. Together these properties cover the full range of trip styles, from quiet woodsy weekends to lakefront vacations.

Michigan state parks use a centralized reservation system. Reservations for campsites, overnight lodging, harbors, and picnic shelters can be made at MiDNRReservations.com or by calling 1-800-44-PARKS (1-800-447-2757). State park sites open for booking on a rolling six-month window, and summer weekends at Sleeper State Park often sell out shortly after release, so booking well in advance is recommended. A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into all state park and forest campgrounds, and it can be added when registering a Michigan vehicle or purchased at the gate. Private parks book direct. Camper's Haven, Ber-wa-ga-na, Krystal Lake, and Sebewaing River Campground all take reservations by phone or through their websites. For holiday weekends and the Caseville festival period, contact private parks several months ahead.
