Campgrounds and RV parks near Gasport, NY

Gasport sits in Niagara County in western New York, positioned midway between Rochester and Buffalo/Niagara Falls along the Erie Canal corridor. The area works well as an RV base: campgrounds cluster within a short drive, and Lake Ontario, Niagara Falls, and the Niagara Wine Trail are all reachable in under an hour. Close to town, Niagara County Camping Resort and Niagara Hartland RV Resort offer full-hookup sites, family amenities, and quiet, largely wooded settings. Niagara Hartland is family-owned and centered on the eight-acre Lake Charles, with swimming, fishing, and paddle boating on site. A short drive east, Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA Holiday offers 300 waterside sites, a 13-acre lake for swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, tent sites from primitive to deluxe, and RV sites with full hookups and cable. North toward Lake Ontario, Niagara Shores Campground and Conference Center provides lakefront sites in Appleton, and Golden Hill State Park sits on the southern shore of Lake Ontario, offering 55 campsites across multiple loops, with Loop C featuring lakefront sites with water and electric hookups.

Golden Hill State Park is reserved through the New York State Parks system on ReserveAmerica. Reservations must be made 1 day ahead of arrival and can be made up to 9 months in advance. Same-day reservations are allowed until 3 p.m. on day of arrival for campsites only, and walk-ins are permitted on campsites. Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA Holiday books through the KOA website or app, with KOA Rewards discounts at checkout. Niagara Hartland RV Resort, Niagara County Camping Resort, and Niagara Shores Campground and Conference Center take reservations through their own sites or third-party platforms such as Campspot. For holiday weekends and lakefront sites, book two to three months out. Cancellations do open up, but yurt and lighthouse-cottage bookings at Golden Hill go fast and carry minimum-night rules.
