Lakeside Beach State Park has its own 18-hole Shore Winds Disc Golf Course and four miles of hiking and biking trails.

The camping season in this part of western New York is tightly seasonal. State-park campgrounds at Golden Hill and Lakeside Beach typically run from mid-May through mid-October, with Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA Holiday operating on a similar late-spring through mid-fall window. Winter closures affect nearly all camping infrastructure, so RV renters should plan trips between spring and early fall. Summer is the busiest stretch. Lake Ontario shoreline sites at Golden Hill and Lakeside Beach fill quickly for July and August weekends, and holiday weekends like Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day sell out well in advance. Pools at the Medina KOA typically run from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Late spring and early fall are quieter and cooler, with good conditions for canal-side biking and lighthouse tours. Winter brings lake-effect snow off Lake Ontario, and while day-use areas at the state parks remain open for snowshoeing and snowmobiling, campgrounds are closed.

Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA Holiday is a large, family-oriented park with pull-throughs, 50-amp full hookups, and space for big rigs, with maximum pull-through length listed at 80 feet. Expect a mix of open and shaded sites, an on-site store, and organized weekend activities from mid-June through Labor Day, plus themed weekends into the fall. Golden Hill State Park has 55 campsites spread across multiple loops, with lakefront water-and-electric sites in Loop C and more primitive sites elsewhere. Sites accommodate rigs up to about 40 feet. Lakeside Beach State Park has 274 tent and trailer sites with electric hookups but no water at the sites; the campground has showers, a dump station, a small camp store, and an 18-hole disc golf course. Swimming is not permitted at Lakeside Beach, though the camping pass grants free entry to nearby Hamlin Beach State Park. Groceries, fuel, and hardware are easy to find in Medina and Albion.
