The surrounding county holds more than a dozen covered bridges, over twenty wineries, and direct access to walleye and steelhead fishing on Lake Erie.

Ohio State Parks, including Geneva State Park and Pymatuning State Park, use a single reservation system at reserveohio.com or by phone at (866) 644-6727. Campsites and unique getaways can be reserved up to six months in advance, and reservations are required, as Ohio parks no longer offer walk-in campsites. Lakefront full-hookup sites and cabins at Geneva book earliest, often filling for summer weekends within days of the six-month window opening. Private parks in the area take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Kenisee Lake RV Campground operates as a Thousand Trails property, which requires either a membership or a paid public reservation. For holiday weekends around Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day, plan to book two to three months out.
