Campgrounds and RV parks near Bedford Heights, OH

Bedford Heights sits in southeastern Cuyahoga County, roughly 15 miles from downtown Cleveland and immediately adjacent to Cleveland Metroparks' Bedford Reservation. The area works well as a base for RV travelers who want proximity to Cleveland attractions plus quick access to Cuyahoga Valley National Park to the south. The Buckeye Trail's Bedford Section runs through parks and suburbs in Cuyahoga and Lake Counties, providing hiking access from the reservation. RV campgrounds are clustered about 20 to 30 minutes southeast of the city, most of them in Portage and Geauga counties near Streetsboro, Mantua, and Aurora. The closest full-service option is the Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday, with additional larger resorts at Woodside Lake Park and Roundup Lake RV Park. Maywood Community and Green Valley Nudist Camp round out the private options in the area. Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday sits off Ohio Turnpike Exit 187, positioning it for convenient access to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and multiple notable waterfalls including Brandywine Falls. There is no public campground inside Bedford Reservation itself; the reservation is day-use only, so overnight RV stays require booking one of the nearby private parks.

Private RV parks in the area handle their own reservations directly through their websites or by phone; there is no single agency portal. Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday books through the KOA reservation system. Woodside Lake Park and Roundup Lake RV Park both accept online reservations, including through Campspot. Expect payment at booking and firm cancellation windows. Streetsboro KOA requires seven days' cancellation notice for RV and tent sites and fourteen days for lodging, with longer notice required on holiday weeks. Roundup Lake refunds cancellations made 30 or more days in advance minus a small administrative fee, allows rescheduling within 7 to 29 days out, and treats reservations less than seven days out as non-refundable. Woodside Lake Park requires a two-night minimum stay, and holiday weekends require a three-night minimum. Bedford Reservation and the other Cleveland Metroparks units near Bedford Heights are day-use only, so overnight RV camping is not available inside those parks.
