Campgrounds and RV parks near Beverly, OH

Beverly sits along the Muskingum River in southeast Ohio's Washington County, roughly midway between Marietta and McConnelsville. The town works well as a base for RV travelers exploring the Muskingum River Parkway, the rolling reclaimed-mine country of Morgan County, and the small river communities along State Route 60. Camping options within a short drive lean rustic. Muskingum River Parkway State Park offers primitive campsites at Luke Chute Lock 5, and all lock areas permit camping to boaters in transit on the river. Just upriver, Stockport RV Park provides a full-hookup alternative for travelers who need power, water, and sewer. Farther west toward McConnelsville, Jesse Owens State Park manages several primitive camping areas including Hook Lake and Sawmill Road. Ashland RV Park rounds out the choices with a private-park option in the area. Together these sites cover the range from bare-bones lock camping to full-service RV pads, all within roughly a 30-minute drive of Beverly.

Ohio state park sites use the state's official booking platform. Reservations may be made up to six months in advance online or by calling (866) 644-6727. The Muskingum River Parkway primitive lock camping falls under this system for the April through October window, though lock sites are often used by boaters in transit; calling the park office to confirm availability is worthwhile. Jesse Owens works differently for its rustic areas. Hook Lake and Sawmill Road use a self-registration process, with sites occupied on a first-come, first-served basis and a two-week maximum stay. Stockport RV Park and Ashland RV Park are private operators. Contact them directly to hold a site, and book earlier for summer weekends and fall color.
