Campgrounds and RV parks near Bolindale, OH

Bolindale sits in Howland Township in Trumbull County, in northeast Ohio's Mahoning Valley. The area gives RV travelers quick access to two large reservoir parks and a cluster of private family campgrounds within a short drive, most of them under thirty minutes from the community. The closest public option is Mosquito Lake State Park, which sits along the west shore of Ohio's third-largest inland lake and is operated by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Private choices near Bolindale include Paradise Lakes Family Campground, Paradise Lakes Campground, and Lake Milton / Berlin Lake KOA Holiday, which sits on 42 acres between Lake Milton and Berlin Lake, about one mile off Interstate 76. Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground, near Hubbard just off Interstate 80, rounds out the nearby list. Most sites in the area are aimed at family RV travel, with a mix of full-hookup pull-throughs, standard electric sites, and tent options. Trip planners should expect a humid continental climate, freshwater lakes rather than rivers or coast, and easy highway access from I-76, I-80, and State Route 305.

Mosquito Lake State Park uses ReserveOhio. Reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance online at reserveohio.com or by phone at (866) 644-6727. Summer weekends, holidays, and the two lakeside yurts book out quickly, so families targeting July or August should reserve as early as the window opens. Lake Milton / Berlin Lake KOA Holiday accepts reservations through the KOA site or booking line, and KOA Rewards members can layer loyalty discounts. Paradise Lakes Family Campground, Paradise Lakes Campground, and Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground book directly through their own websites or offices. For RV renters, confirm site length, hookup type (30 vs 50 amp, full-service vs electric only), and any big-rig restrictions when booking. Mosquito Lake permits a maximum of two vehicles per site, with a trailer or motorhome counting as one vehicle.
