Campgrounds and RV parks near Farmersville, OH

Farmersville sits in Montgomery County in southwest Ohio, about fifteen miles southwest of downtown Dayton. The village is rural and quiet, but it lies within an easy drive of both public campgrounds run by the state and private RV parks along the I-70 and I-75 corridors. That mix gives RV travelers options from full-hookup resorts with pools to wooded state park loops with electric-only sites. The closest public land is Sycamore State Park, a 2,384-acre park of meadows, woodlots, and ponds surrounded by farmland in Montgomery County. Sycamore itself offers group and equestrian camping rather than a full family campground, so most RV travelers base at nearby private options such as Off The Hook Campground, Rye Camp, or Oak & Ember Farms. For larger full-service parks with pull-through sites, cabins, and family amenities, Dayton KOA Holiday and Lebanon / Cincinnati NE KOA Holiday are both within roughly an hour of Farmersville and serve as convenient bases for exploring the greater Dayton and Cincinnati region.

Ohio State Park campgrounds are booked through the ReserveOhio system. Campsite reservations open six months to the day prior to the arrival date, and reservations can be made as late as the day of arrival. Bookings are available online at reserveohio.com or through the call center at (866) 644-6727, which is open from 7am to 7pm daily. The minimum stay for regular weekend reservations is two nights, and Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends require a three-night minimum. Parks that use the reservation system no longer offer walk-in campsites, with Jesse Owens State Park the only exception for first-come, first-served camping. Private parks such as Off The Hook Campground, Rye Camp, Oak & Ember Farms, Dayton KOA Holiday, and Lebanon / Cincinnati NE KOA Holiday book directly through their own websites or the KOA reservation system. Holiday weekends should be booked several months out.
