Campgrounds and RV parks near Frazeysburg, OH

Frazeysburg sits in Muskingum County in southeastern Ohio, roughly an hour east of Columbus and a short drive north of Zanesville. The area's central RV draw is Dillon State Park, which surrounds Dillon Lake and offers the largest and most developed campground in the immediate region. Smaller private options nearby include Hidden Hill Campground, Wolfies Campground, National Road Campground, and Walhonding Hills Campgrounds, spreading choices across the wooded hills that separate the Muskingum and Walhonding river valleys. The landscape here is rolling farmland cut by rivers, with Dillon Lake providing the main water recreation. Small towns like Dresden, Nashport, and Zanesville sit within easy driving range for groceries, fuel, and dump stations. Frazeysburg is best known as the former home of the Longaberger basket-making operation. The company is now defunct, but the World's Largest Apple Basket still stands on the old Homestead grounds along Raiders Road. RV travelers typically use the town as a quiet base for exploring Dillon Lake, the Muskingum River corridor, and nearby state nature areas.

Dillon State Park reservations are handled through the Ohio State Parks system at reserveohio.com or by calling 1-866-644-6727. Sites and cabins can be booked up to six months in advance. Private campgrounds in the area, including Hidden Hill Campground, Wolfies Campground, National Road Campground, and Walhonding Hills Campgrounds, are booked directly with each property by phone or through their own websites. For summer weekends and holidays, plan to reserve six to eight weeks out; shoulder-season midweek stays are usually available on shorter notice.
