Campgrounds and RV parks near Harbor Hills, OH

Harbor Hills sits on the north shore of Buckeye Lake in Licking County, roughly 30 miles east of Columbus and just off I-70. The community is built around Ohio's oldest state park, a 3,100-acre reservoir originally constructed in 1826 as a feeder lake for the Ohio and Erie Canal. RV travelers use Harbor Hills as a base for boating, fishing, and day trips into central Ohio. Buckeye Lake State Park itself is day-use only, so overnight campers rely on private RV parks and campgrounds in the surrounding area. Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA Holiday sits directly off I-70 at Exit 129 and is the closest full-service option. The Grove By The River, Lazy River At Granville, Hidden Hill Campground, and Lakeview RV Park and Campground round out the nearby choices, ranging from riverside sites to quieter rural properties. Most parks in the area accommodate travel trailers and Class A through Class C motorhomes, with a mix of full-hookup, water-and-electric, and cabin options.

Buckeye Lake State Park does not offer overnight camping, so reservations focus on private campgrounds. Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA Holiday takes bookings directly through the KOA website or app, with standard KOA cancellation terms. The Grove By The River, Lazy River At Granville, Hidden Hill Campground, and Lakeview RV Park and Campground each handle reservations through their own websites or by phone. For Ohio State Parks farther afield, such as Dillon and Deer Creek, reservations go through the ReserveOhio system at reserveohio.com. Campsites can be booked up to six months in advance, while cabins and day-use facilities open twelve months in advance. Shelter houses at Buckeye Lake State Park are also reserved through ReserveOhio.
