Campgrounds and RV parks near Harveysburg, OH

Harveysburg sits in Warren County in southwest Ohio, within a short drive of two state park lakes and a cluster of private RV parks. The village is best known as the home of Renaissance Park, and it works well as a base for families combining lake recreation with day trips to Kings Island, Wilmington, and the northern suburbs of Cincinnati. The closest full-service option is Caesar Creek State Park, a large pet-friendly campground with electric and full hook-up sites in a shady setting, plus a camp store, boat ramp, playground, and basketball court. About twenty minutes south, Cowan Lake State Park sits on a 700-acre lake with wooded shoreline, offering more than 250 campsites and 21 cabins where pets are permitted on all campsites. RV travelers who want private-park amenities can look at Frontier Campground, Wilmington RV Resort, and Olive Branch Campground, all within roughly a half-hour drive. Together, the mix of state park and private options makes Harveysburg a flexible staging point for weekend and week-long RV trips.

Ohio State Parks use a central reservation system. All campsites may be reserved by visiting reserveohio.com or by calling 1-866-644-6727. Reservations may be made up to six months in advance, and popular summer weekends at Caesar Creek and Cowan Lake typically fill within days of opening. Private campgrounds such as Frontier Campground, Wilmington RV Resort, and Olive Branch Campground handle bookings directly through their own websites or by phone. For any stay overlapping the Renaissance Festival, Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day, book several months out. Reservations at the state park campgrounds are required, and equipment cannot be set up on a site without one, since there is no self-registration at the park.
