Campgrounds and RV parks near Jamestown, OH

Jamestown sits in Greene County in southwestern Ohio, within easy reach of the Little Miami River corridor and several state park campgrounds. The town works well as a base for RV travelers heading to John Bryan State Park, a 752-acre state park that surrounds Clifton Gorge, a deep chasm of the Little Miami River between Yellow Springs and Clifton. Dayton, Springfield, and Cincinnati are all within a manageable drive. The closest public option is John Bryan State Park Campground, an Ohio State Parks facility with a mix of electric and non-electric sites close to the park's hiking trails. South of Jamestown, Caesar Creek State Park offers a much larger campground on a Corps of Engineers reservoir, with electric and full-hookup sites suitable for bigger rigs. Private options in the area include Sky Lake RV Resort and Campground, Sky Lake RV Resort, and Wilmington RV Resort. Together these campgrounds cover the range most travelers need: semi-rustic state park sites near hiking, mid-size lake camping with modern amenities, and full-hookup private parks for longer stays.

Ohio State Parks use a single reservation system for public campgrounds. For John Bryan State Park Campground, reservations can be made up to six months in advance online or by calling (866) 644-6727. The same window and phone line apply to Caesar Creek State Park, with bookings handled through the ReserveOhio portal. Reservations at the Caesar Creek campground are required. Sites cannot be set up without a reservation, and there is no self-registration at the park. Book online or by phone ahead of the stay. Weekend and holiday sites at both parks typically release six months out and fill quickly. Private parks such as Sky Lake RV Resort and Wilmington RV Resort take direct bookings through their own websites or by phone, and often have more flexibility for last-minute or long-term stays.
