Campgrounds and RV parks near Lyons, OH

Lyons is a small village in Fulton County in northwest Ohio, close to the Michigan state line. The surrounding countryside puts RV travelers within a short drive of both Ohio and Michigan campgrounds. Options range from private family resorts with full hookups to a semi-modern state recreation area across the border. On the Ohio side, Sunny's Campgrounds sits west of Lyons near Wauseon and Bluegrass Campground is south near Swanton, both in Fulton County. Sauder Village Campground is on the northern edge of Archbold and forms part of the historic Sauder Village complex, which centers around a 1920s-era Main Street clustered with around 40 buildings that detail life in Ohio between 1803 and 1928. Just over the border in Michigan, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Green Valley in Morenci offers a family resort setting, and Lake Hudson Recreation Area surrounds a no-wake lake and includes a semimodern campground, a designated swim beach, a boating access site, and a 1.5-mile trail. The area is flat farm country with small towns, county fairgrounds, and several state nature preserves within reach. It suits families using an RV as a base for day trips rather than travelers seeking rugged wilderness.

Reservation systems vary by ownership. Michigan state parks including Lake Hudson use a central platform: campsites, overnight lodging and harbor slips can be reserved 6 months to the date of arrival in advance at MiDNRReservations.com or by calling 1-800-447-2757. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry. Ohio state parks such as nearby Harrison Lake use the ReserveOhio system. Private campgrounds book directly. Sauder Village Campground's cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to check-in, check-in is 1 p.m. or later, and check-out is before noon. Adventure Bound Green Valley takes reservations through its own website. For summer weekends and holidays, secure sites well in advance and confirm rig-length limits and hookup type when booking an RV site.
