Campgrounds and RV parks near North Kingsville, OH

North Kingsville sits along Ohio's northeastern Lake Erie shoreline in Ashtabula County, roughly midway between Cleveland and Erie, Pennsylvania. The village is a practical base for RV travelers heading to Lake Erie beaches, the Grand River Valley wine region, and Ashtabula County's covered bridges. Interstate 90 runs just south of town, giving quick access to campgrounds spread along the shoreline and across the surrounding farmland. Private RV parks dominate the local mix. Hide-A-Way Lakes Campground, Virginias Beach Campground, and Kenisee Lake RV Campground offer full-service sites within a short drive, while Willow Lake Campground provides another inland option with hookups and family amenities. West along the lake, Sun Retreats Geneva on the Lake places travelers close to the Geneva-on-the-Lake resort strip. The closest public campground is at Geneva State Park, about a 20-minute drive west. It is the region's main state-run option and books quickly for summer weekends, so many RV travelers combine a state-park stay with nearby private parks for flexibility.

Ohio State Park campsites, including Geneva State Park, are booked through the ReserveOhio system online or by phone at (866) 644-6727. Reservations are required, and Ohio does not allow camping outside designated walk-in areas without a booking. Summer weekends, holiday windows, and the limited full-hookup and lakefront sites sell out first, so book as early as the window allows. Private parks such as Hide-A-Way Lakes Campground, Virginias Beach Campground, Kenisee Lake RV Campground, Sun Retreats Geneva on the Lake, and Willow Lake Campground each handle their own reservations through their websites or by phone. Seasonal sites are common, so nightly RV availability tightens as summer approaches. Confirm rig-length limits, hookup amps, and pet policies at the time of booking.
