Campgrounds near North Perry, Ohio
North Perry is a small lakeshore village in Lake County, Ohio, on the southern shore of Lake Erie about 40 miles northeast of Cleveland. RV travelers use it as a base for the Grand River Valley, Ohio's wine country in Ashtabula County, and the Lake Erie beaches around Geneva-on-the-Lake, all within a short drive east.
The closest options mix a full-service KOA, a state park campground, and private RV parks. Thompson / Grand River Valley KOA Holiday sits inland along the Grand River corridor with full-hookup sites that include 50-amp and 30-amp electric, water, and sewer. Geneva State Park covers 698 acres on Lake Erie with a sand beach, marshes, and estuaries, plus a marina and multi-use trail. Hearthside Grove Lake Erie is a Class A motorcoach-only resort in Geneva-on-the-Lake.
Willow Lake Campground and Kenisee's Grand River Camp and Canoe round out the private options, both leaning toward wooded, water-adjacent sites with a strong seasonal-camper contingent and some pull-through space for shorter RV stays.
Things to do near North Perry
Lake Erie drives most of the recreation. Geneva State Park has sandy beaches on Lake Erie, a marina, and six miles of hiking trails, along with a paved shoreline path and a boat ramp with access to the lake's central basin. Walleye fishing is a major draw.
The Grand River, a State Scenic River, runs through the area and supports fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, including trips launched from Kenisee's Grand River Camp and Canoe. Ashtabula County's covered bridges and wineries are a short drive east, and the village of Geneva-on-the-Lake has a walkable beach strip and boardwalk.
Families staying at Thompson / Grand River Valley KOA Holiday have a heated pool, fishing and swimming ponds, and dog parks on site, plus day-trip range to Cleveland attractions.

Used James' toy hauler off grid for 3 days. Battery and generator worked well. Hot water for showers too. Everything worked as listed. James delivered and set up the camper at the campground for us and was very easy and professional to work with.

Geneva State Park reservations can be made online through the Ohio State Park website or by calling (866) 644-6727, up to six months ahead of the arrival date.
