Campgrounds and RV parks near Parma, OH

Parma sits just south of Cleveland in Cuyahoga County, placing RV travelers within a short drive of Lake Erie, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park corridor, and a mix of private campgrounds across northeast Ohio. The city itself is residential, so nearly all overnight camping options are located outside the immediate metro area, typically ten to forty minutes out by road. No campgrounds operate inside Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and backcountry camping or overnight parking-lot stays are not permitted. RV travelers using Parma as a base generally stay at private parks such as Willow Lake Park Inc, American Wilderness Campground, Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday, or Maple Lakes Campgrounds, and use day trips to reach park trails, the Towpath, and Lake Erie shoreline attractions. For adults-only travel, Green Valley Nudist Camp operates in the region as a clothing-optional club campground with restricted access rules. Family RV travelers will typically look to the KOA, Maple Lakes Campgrounds, or American Wilderness Campground for standard hookup sites and kid-friendly amenities.

Private campgrounds around Parma, including Willow Lake Park Inc, American Wilderness Campground, Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday, and Maple Lakes Campgrounds, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Summer weekends and holiday weeks fill early, so booking two to three months out is a safe target for peak dates. For Ohio state park campgrounds within day-trip range, reservations are handled through reserveohio.com or the reservation call center at (866) 644-6727, and campsites may be reserved up to six months in advance of the desired arrival date. No camping is available inside Cuyahoga Valley National Park itself, so RV travelers should book a nearby private or state park campground and treat the national park as a day-use destination.
