Campgrounds and RV parks near Russellville, OH

Russellville sits in Brown County in southwest Ohio, roughly an hour east of Cincinnati and a short drive north of the Ohio River. The surrounding countryside is rolling farmland cut by creeks and wooded ridges, with reservoirs and river access points shaping most of the camping options. RV renters use the town as a base for lake days, riverboating, and easy trips into the Cincinnati metro. Campground styles in the area range from small private parks to a large state-park operation. Red Barn Convention Center Campground and Lawrence Creek Campground offer smaller-scale private stays close to Russellville, while White Oak Marina & Campground pairs sites with boat access near the Ohio River. Cabin Run Creek Campground LLC provides another private-park option in the surrounding countryside. For larger public-land camping, East Fork State Park Campground is the anchor of the region. It sits on William H. Harsha Lake near Batavia in Clermont County and functions as one of Ohio's largest state-park campgrounds, drawing renters looking for hookups, beach access, and trails.

Reservations for East Fork State Park Campground are handled through the Ohio State Parks system on ReserveOhio.com, with phone booking also available at (866) 644-6727. Campsites can be reserved up to six months in advance, and specific sites can be selected at the time of booking. Some sites may be available first-come, first-served, but relying on walk-up availability is risky on summer weekends and holiday weeks. Private parks such as Red Barn Convention Center Campground, Lawrence Creek Campground, White Oak Marina & Campground, and Cabin Run Creek Campground LLC handle their own reservations directly by phone or through their operator websites. Seasonal sites at marina-based parks often reduce nightly inventory, so calling ahead to confirm transient availability is worthwhile for RV renters.
