Campgrounds and RV parks near Stow, OH

Stow sits in Summit County between Akron and Cleveland, on the eastern edge of the Cuyahoga River watershed. The city works well as a base for RV travelers because it puts Cuyahoga Valley National Park, several Ohio state parks, and the Portage Lakes region all within a short drive. The national park itself does not permit developed campground camping inside its boundaries, so overnight stays happen at private and municipal campgrounds nearby. RV travelers have a range of options within roughly a half hour of downtown Stow. Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday and Woodside Lake Park sit just east in Portage County, while Countryside Campground lies south next to the Mogadore Reservoir. Cherokee Park Campground and Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Akron-Canton round out the choices for families who want pools, activities, and full hookups. The terrain is gently rolling glaciated plateau, forested and dotted with lakes and reservoirs. Roads leading to area campgrounds are paved and RV-friendly, and most parks offer pull-through sites suited to larger rigs.
