Campgrounds and RV parks near Valley View, OH

Valley View sits in the Cuyahoga River valley in southern Cuyahoga County, wedged between Cleveland to the north and Akron to the south. The village borders Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the region's main outdoor draw, along with the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail. RVers use Valley View as a base for exploring the park, Cleveland Metroparks, and the surrounding lakes and reservoirs. One important planning note: the National Park Service does not permit camping or overnight parking inside Cuyahoga Valley National Park. RVers stay at private parks and state campgrounds outside the park boundary. Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday and Woodside Lake Park, both roughly 20 to 25 miles east near Interstate 480 and the Ohio Turnpike, are the two largest full-hookup options for larger rigs in the immediate area. Closer-in and smaller private options include Willow Lake Park Inc, Maywood Community, and Green Valley Nudist Camp, which offer quieter, more seasonal settings. Reservation systems, seasonal windows, and rig-size limits vary widely between properties, so confirm hookups and length limits directly with each operator before booking.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park does not operate a campground, so Recreation.gov is not used for overnight stays inside the park. Private campgrounds handle their own reservations directly through their websites or by phone. Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA Holiday takes bookings through the KOA website and requires seven days notice to cancel standard RV or tent sites, fourteen days for cabins and lodging, and two weeks for holiday weekends. Woodside Lake Park books through its own site and enforces a two-night minimum on standard weekends and a three-night minimum on holiday weekends. Smaller nearby options such as Willow Lake Park Inc and Maywood Community typically require a phone call. Ohio state park campgrounds in the wider region, including Punderson, West Branch, and Findley, reserve through the ReserveOhio system on a rolling window that opens well in advance.
