Banks sits in northwest Oregon's Tualatin Valley, about a 45-minute drive west of Portland and at the southern end of the paved Banks-Vernonia State Trail. The town is a practical staging point for RV trips into the Coast Range foothills, with the bulk of nearby camping concentrated in L.L. Stub Stewart State Park and the adjacent Tillamook State Forest.
L.L. Stub Stewart State Park, roughly 10 miles north of Banks near Buxton, is the primary RV destination. It opened in 2007 and was the first new full-service Oregon state park campground since Cape Blanco in 1972, set on a forested hillside in the Coast Range. The park covers about 1,800 acres and offers full-hookup RV camping at Dairy Creek East - L L Stub Stewart State Park and Dairy Creek West - L L Stub Stewart State Park, plus walk-in tent sites, cabins, and the dedicated Hares Canyon Horse Camp - L L Stub Stewart State Park.
West of Banks, the Tillamook State Forest stretches toward the coast along Highway 6 and provides more rustic, forest-managed camping. Together these systems cover hookup RV camping, equestrian camping, and OHV-focused stays.

Great set up. We ended up not using some of the add ons as we got cleared out early due to smoke/fires and were reimbursed appropriately. Very professional communications. Nice for a small family of 4 for the weekend or more. 8 YO boy enjoyed it too: “dad do you think you could quit work and we could just drive around in this van for the rest of the year?”

Thanks Radek and Anna for the amazing experience!
