Campgrounds and RV parks near Cedar Mill, OR

Cedar Mill is an unincorporated community in Washington County, on Portland's west side between Beaverton and Bethany, roughly seven to eight miles from downtown Portland. The area sits north of U.S. Route 26 and within easy reach of westside employers, Forest Park, and the broader Portland metro road network, which makes it a practical base for RV travelers who want city access without parking a rig in the urban core. No full-hookup RV parks sit inside Cedar Mill itself. Travelers typically stage along the Columbia River corridor north and east of the community, or south toward the Tualatin Valley. Jantzen Beach RV Park on Hayden Island, Columbia River RV Park on the Portland side, and Reeder Beach RV Park and Country Store on Sauvie Island all sit within a short drive and offer full hookups for larger rigs. Roamers Rest RV Park LLC south in Tualatin is another option for travelers staging on the valley side. From these basecamps, visitors can reach Washington Park, the Oregon Zoo, the Japanese Garden, Sauvie Island farms, and the Columbia River Gorge waterfalls without long highway days.

Private parks closest to Cedar Mill, including Jantzen Beach RV Park, Columbia River RV Park, Roamers Rest RV Park LLC, and Reeder Beach RV Park and Country Store, take direct reservations through their websites or by phone. Reeder Beach is smaller and historically less computerized, so calling ahead is the safest approach. For public campgrounds within day-trip range, Oregon State Parks accepts reservations from the same day of arrival through six months in advance, with new dates released at 6 a.m. Pacific daily through the state's reservation system. U.S. Forest Service sites in the Mount Hood National Forest book through Recreation.gov on a similar six-month rolling window. Plan ahead for summer weekends; coastal and Gorge parks often fill the morning they open.
