Downtown Coburg is walkable in an hour or two. A self-guided historic walking tour covers about twenty homes, with maps available at City Hall, and the antique shops in the small downtown core are among the better-known ones in Lane County. The Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway passes through the area, making the town a natural stop for cyclists touring the valley. Armitage County Park, on the McKenzie River just south of town, has day-use picnic areas, river access, and trails. Eugene and Springfield add the University of Oregon campus, the Cascades Raptor Center, and the Ridgeline Trail system.
