Campgrounds near Coburg, Oregon
Coburg sits in the southern Willamette Valley about seven miles north of Eugene, just off Interstate 5. The town is a National Historic District with nearly two hundred recognized sites and structures, surrounded by farmland, the McKenzie River corridor to the south, and the Coburg Hills to the east. For RV travelers, it functions as a quieter base than central Eugene while keeping the city, the University of Oregon, and Highway 126 to the coast within a short drive.
Most RV options cluster along the I-5 corridor between Coburg and Eugene. Eugene Kamping World RV Park is in Coburg itself, with full hookups, pull-throughs, and year-round operation. Eugene Premier RV Resorts sits near the Coburg exit with larger sites geared to big rigs. Shamrock Village RV Park, Eugene Mobile and RV Village, and Diamond Hill RV Park round out the nearby options, ranging from longer-stay parks to a quieter rural property north of town toward Harrisburg.
Things to do near Coburg
Downtown Coburg is walkable in an hour or two. A self-guided historic walking tour covers about twenty homes, with maps available at City Hall, and the antique shops in the small downtown core are among the better-known ones in Lane County. The Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway passes through the area, making the town a natural stop for cyclists touring the valley.
Armitage County Park, on the McKenzie River just south of town, has day-use picnic areas, river access, and trails. Eugene and Springfield add the University of Oregon campus, the Cascades Raptor Center, and the Ridgeline Trail system. From Coburg it is also a reasonable day trip west to the Oregon coast via Highway 126 or east into the Cascades and the McKenzie River recreation corridor.

December - February

Summer is the practical season for RV travel here. June through August are warm and very dry, with long days, low rainfall, and reliable access to the coast and Cascades. July and August are also the busiest months for the area's private RV parks, and weekends near the Coburg Antique and Vintage Fair in September can fill sites well in advance.
Spring and fall are quieter and still workable. March through May bring frequent showers but mild temperatures, wildflowers in the valley, and easy availability at most parks. September and early October stay mostly dry before the rainy pattern returns, and the antique fair, harvest events, and summer concerts in the park anchor the late-season calendar.
Winter is mild by North American standards, with daytime highs typically in the mid to upper 40s Fahrenheit, but it is the wettest time of year. December and January carry most of the annual rainfall, fog is common in the valley, and snow is rare at this elevation. Most private RV parks around Coburg stay open year-round, though some seasonal amenities close.

Quick responses, easy to work with, clean camper that is well stocked

We had never done trailer camping. Nancy and Scott are incredibly helpful and understanding. They spent lots of time walking us through all the ins and outs of their trailer. The trailer itself was very clean and well equipped. Nancy had thought of just about everything. Oh yes, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great time and would only recommend this rental.

What a flawless rental! Every question answered quickly and the host was so flexible with our pick up accommodations. Made our trip so much more enjoyable. Thank you both so much!
Therese G. - Sep 2026
This was such an easy rental experience! From start to finish, Melissa and Tim were the perfect hosts...quick response time, helpful with all my questions, flexible with schedule, adaptable and super easy to work with. The delivery and pick up service was seamless - we were still driving to Oregon at time of delivery, but Tim communicated with my parents, because he set it up in their driveway, and explained everything to my Dad. When we arrived, everything was ready for our stay. Pick up was just as easy, quick walk thru inspection on the app, Tim stowed the hose and cords and hooked it back on his truck and voila, my part was done. I would definitely rent from them again and recommend others do so as well.

Booking an RV site near Coburg
Private parks in the Coburg and Eugene area, including Eugene Kamping World RV Park, Eugene Premier RV Resorts, Shamrock Village RV Park, Eugene Mobile and RV Village, and Diamond Hill RV Park, take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Sites turn over fastest in July and August and around University of Oregon football weekends, so booking four to eight weeks ahead is a safe target for summer stays.
For Oregon State Parks in the surrounding region, reservations go through the state's online system at oregonstateparks.reserveamerica.com or by calling 800-452-5687. The booking window runs from same-day up to six months in advance, with new dates releasing at 6 a.m. Pacific time. A non-refundable transaction fee applies, and cancellations made fewer than three days before arrival forfeit one night's fee.
What to expect on the ground
Most RV parks in the Coburg area are valley-floor properties on flat ground, with full hookups, 30 and 50 amp service, and easy big-rig access from I-5 exits 195 (north Eugene) and 199 (Coburg). Sites tend to be closer together than in state-park campgrounds, and highway noise is noticeable at parks immediately adjacent to the interstate.
Cell coverage is strong across the corridor, and grocery, fuel, propane, and RV service are all available within a short drive in Eugene or Springfield. Coburg itself is small: expect a handful of restaurants, a coffee shop, antique stores, and a market, with larger shopping in Springfield. Summer brings wildfire smoke risk from regional fires, so check air-quality forecasts before extended outdoor plans in July through September.
