Campgrounds and RV parks near Rockcreek, OR

Rockcreek is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, on the western edge of the Portland metropolitan area. It sits north of U.S. Route 26 (Sunset Highway), bordered by Hillsboro to the south and west, and lies roughly 12 to 15 miles from downtown Portland. The neighborhood takes its name from Rock Creek, a tributary of the Tualatin River that flows through the area. Because Rockcreek itself is residential and largely built out, RV travelers base themselves at private parks scattered around greater Portland and the Tualatin Valley. Options south of the city include Roamers Rest RV Park LLC, a full-hookup park on the Tualatin River in nearby Tualatin. North of Portland, on Hayden Island and Sauvie Island along the Columbia River, travelers find Jantzen Beach RV Park, Island Cove RV Park, Columbia River RV Park, and Reeder Beach RV Park and Country Store. The location works well for trips that mix city activities, Willamette Valley wine country to the south, and the Columbia River Gorge to the east.

Private RV parks near Rockcreek typically take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone, and many also list on Campspot, RoverPass, or similar platforms. Roamers Rest RV Park LLC, Jantzen Beach RV Park, and Columbia River RV Park accept online bookings; Reeder Beach RV Park and Country Store has historically operated with a smaller office and may require a phone call to confirm. Some metro Portland parks restrict older RVs or require photos at booking, so check rig-age and condition policies before paying a deposit. For state-park camping, Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at most state park campgrounds from one day to six months in advance, and popular Columbia Gorge and coast parks fill within minutes when summer dates release. For holiday weekends and the July to August peak, reserve as early as possible.
