Campgrounds and RV parks near Berea, SC

Berea sits in Greenville County in the northwestern corner of South Carolina, just outside the city of Greenville and within a short drive of the Blue Ridge foothills. The area works well as a base for RV travelers who want both urban access, downtown Greenville and the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and quick reach into the mountains toward Table Rock, Caesars Head, and the North Carolina line. The closest public campground is Paris Mountain State Park, about 6 miles north of downtown Greenville. The park has 39 paved camp sites, each with individual water and electrical hookups, along with five trailside campsites around the North Lake Trail Loop. Private options in the surrounding area include Springwood RV Park and Ivy Acres RV Park, both suited to standard RV rigs. Further out, Travelers Rest / N Greenville KOA Holiday sits closer to the Blue Ridge escarpment. Group and youth camping is available through Girl Scouts of South Carolina–Mountains to Midlands, which serves organized groups rather than drop-in RV travelers.

Reservations at Paris Mountain State Park may be made up to 13 months in advance, and reservations requested less than one day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights. Book through the official South Carolina State Parks reservation site or call the park. Cancellations made 15 or more days from the reservation date incur no charges, cancellations made 4 to 14 days out forfeit a per-unit fee, and cancellations made 3 days or less from the reservation date forfeit all funds. Private parks including Springwood RV Park, Ivy Acres RV Park, and Travelers Rest / N Greenville KOA Holiday take reservations directly on their own websites or by phone. KOA members can also book through the KOA app.
